In Windows Me, when I click Start, Search, Files and Folders, the window opens exactly as in the tutorial. However, if I then instruct it to look for a known file in a known location, nothing happens.
We think this may be a Tweak UI-related problem. Launch Tweak UI, select the Desktop tab and make sure that the Search Results checkbox is checked. If you do not have Tweak UI, you can download it from Microsoft's site at www.microsoft.com/ntworkstation/downloads/powertoys/networking/nttweakui.asp.
